Zinc stearate is widely used as a release agent in the production of rubber, polyurethane and polyester processing systems. It can be used in rigid or flexible PVC applications, and helps to provide color retention during extrusion. In cosmetics, it is used as a lubricant and a thickener to improve texture. Zinc stearate also functions as a phase transfer catalyst for the saponification of fats.

plastic Compounding
- Used as lubricating agent and mold release aid in high impact polystyrene (HIPS) & expandable polystyrene (EPS).
- Used as PVC stabilizer & lubricating agent.
- Used as acid scavenger & lubricating agent in polyolefin.
- Used as lubricating agent and mold release aid in phenolic resins & amine resins.
Recommended dosage is 0.5 – 2%.
Plastic masterbatch
- As dispersing agent for polyolefin filler/color masterbatch.
- As dispersing agent for color pigment.
Recommended dosage is 0.5 – 2%.
Other Applications
- Used as softener & activators for sulfur vulcanization in rubber.
- Used as dispersing agent in PP/PET chemical fiber masterbatch.
- Used as lubricating agent & mold release aid in composite materials.
- Used as grinding agent & flattening agent for coatings & paints.
- Used as lubricating agent in metal processing & powder metallurgy.
Recommended dosage is 0.5 – 2%.
